Over Sunday and Monday, registered Rob Woolley delivered 82 free health checks for residents from the Men's Health Education Rural Van, parked on the laws of the Ulladulla Civic Centre.

The tests included a hearing test and blood pressure, blood sugar and cholestrol tests conducted in less than 10 minutes by Rob.

Almost 8 per cent of people who sought a health check were told to see their GP or seek medical attention immediately.

More than half of the assessments revealed 46 people needed to see a GP to be assessed for treatment and almost half of patients had high cholesterol or blood pressure.

The second day of tests coincided with International Men's Day. Ross Wade, a psychologist at the Community Resources Centre, said it was the centre's chance to give back to men's health as it co-sponsored the van's visit.

"Each year run a program, this is our celebration [of International Men's Day]," he said.

Rob will continue north along the South Coast, as part of a Rotary Clubs of NSW project. He will be in Nowra on Wednesday and Thursday and Gerringong and Kiama on Saturday and Sunday.
