The sixth edition of The Chad Sloman Memorial Ashes was played on Saturday, December 7 at Frogs Hollow.
A group of 24 of his mates got together for what can only be described as a great day.
Jase Linke, one of Chad's many close mates, said to take part in The Chad Sloman Memorial Ashes was special.
"In his memory, we play with our friends and parents in attendance. It is a moving day and a nice way to catch up and reflect," Jase said.
"This year a group of the boys fund-raised for The Black Dog Institute - supporting mental health.
"Over $6800 was raised which was a job well done. Chad would be so proud."
The popular former Ulladulla High School student and Milton Ulladulla Bulldogs under 18s player passed away in August 2014.
Jase and Chad enjoyed a great and long friendship.
"Yeah Chad and I were friends from kindergarten through to his passing," Jase said.
"Chad was very easy going and carefree, nothing seemed to faze him.
"This demeanour helped him form and maintain friendships so effortlessly.
"He was always fun to be around whether at school or on the footy oval showcasing that wicked step of his."
Jase said Chad was a true larrikin who would light up any room he walked into.
