Club Captain Adam Woodward said it was the major fundraiser for the surf club.
Every cent raised goes straight into the club's coffers and is essential to help the club continue to provide safe swimming at beaches and youth development. Mollymook Surf Life Saving Club has a one hundred percent safety record of protecting swimmers between the flags
During the peak summer holiday season Mollymook Surf Life Saving is the only club on the South Coast to patrol three beaches, Mollymook North and South and Narrawallee.
"We pride ourselves with a high level of training of all patrol members, each patrol is made up of about a dozen members who are able to provide first aid, spinal treatment, advanced resuscitation and ocean rescues in all conditions," Mr Woodward said. Most collectors will be in uniform, have ID cards and official taped up collection tins. Some family and friends will be in plain clothes and will have ID.
