Last week it was announced Kiama and Berry agricultural shows were cancelled. The decision to not go ahead with these events in 2020 follows the recent cancellation of shows in Albion Park, Bowral and Cobargo.
Milton Show Society committee president Ken Leslie said he appreciated the difficult decisions made by fellow show societies across the South Coast to cancel their shows due to the impact of bushfire and ongoing drought conditions.
At this stage the Milton Show committee is in consultation with key stakeholders and it is continuing to plan for the 2020 Milton Show.
Mr Leslie said the committee plans to use this event as a positive opportunity for the community to come together during this challenging time.
A joint announcement will be made with Shoalhaven City Council after consultation with emergency services personnel.
At this stage Mr Leslie feels quite confident the "show will go on" as the conditions look to be clearing up and the community is looking forward to some positive input.
