The four top teams are all drawn to play tomorrow, depending on the weather, and they will be keen to get back on deck.
Last weekend's round of matches was cancelled due to the fire emergency and with the possibility of rain, there is no guarantee this weekend's games will get underway.
Given the drought conditions and need of rain on the fire-grounds, all the cricketers would be fine if their games were called off.
The scheduled round of two-day first grade matches will now be one-day affairs.
Second spot on the ladder could be up for grabs when Ulladulla United plays Bomaderry at Lighthouse Oval on Saturday.
United is currently in second spot with 60 points but the Tigers on 52 points are within reach.
If you want to pick a potential match-winner in this match then select United's Conard Greenshields.
Greenshields, in a recent outing against North Nowra Cambewarra, made 68 runs (with 11 boundaries) and took two wickets.
Angus Rutherford, Aaron Wester and Peter King all have to play well if United is to get the points.
Any team with Michael Coulter and Kealen Blattner in its ranks will always be hard to beat.
Coulter and Blattner both smashed recent half-centuries for the Tigers and they are also more than handy bowlers.
Throw in the ageless Stu Jeffery, who seems to get wickets with ease, and you see why Bomaderry is always hard to beat.
Berry Shoalhaven Head will host Shoalhaven Ex-Servicemen's while Ulladulla United has a home game against Bomaderry.
Berry and Ex-Servos, over the years, have played many great games and Saturday's match at the Berry Sporting Complex should be another epic affair.
The Magpies, under David Crapp's leadership, have been playing some great cricket and have been doing better than many people expected.
The Army, on the other hand, was expected to be doing slightly better.
Berry on 73 points leads the competition while Ex-Servos sits on fourth spot with 47 points.
Looking at the two teams selected for last weekend, which was called off, Berry and The Army both have many match-winners in their team.
Crapp is no doubt the key Berry batsman, while the likes of Andrew Wright and Jarrod Mitchell are dangerous players.
It will be interesting to see who forms the bowling attack for The Army.
Trevor Thomason and Matt Ganderton were both named in the Ex-Servos' side for what was meant to be the first day of the match against Berry last Saturday.
Captain Daniel Gleason and Blake Munilla look to be the key batsmen for The Army.
Daniel Watson and Callum Crapp will be out to bowl Berry to victory.
The struggling North Nowra Cambewarra has the bye.
