Shoalhaven City Council has announced extended hours and days for Lake Conjola and Berry depots to address the excess waste materials following subsequent natural disasters.

Council will be extending waste depots hours at Lake Conjola and Berry depots over the coming weeks to assist residents with the removal of flood-damaged waste starting from Wednesday until Sunday, March 1.
In addition, to extended hours a large bin will also be available at the Lake Conjola Community Centre and near the Shoalhaven Heads Boat Ramp for one week from with council will replacing this bin as required.
Flood waste disposal wall also be of free of charge from February 12 to February 29 at Lake Conjola, Berry, West Nowra, Huskisson and Ulladulla depots. To access free disposal residents are asked to provide their name, address where flooding occurred, phone number and signature.
Lake Conjola opening hours changes
The local depot will be open for extended days and hours as follows:
- Wednesday 12 February - 8am to 4pm
- Friday 14 February - 8am to 4pm
- Saturday 15 February - 8am to 4pm
- Sunday, 16 February - 8am to 4pm
- Monday,17 February - 8am to 4pm
- Wednesday, 19 February - 8am to 12pm
- Friday 21 February - 8am to 12pm
- Saturday 22 February - 8am to 12pm
- Sunday 23 February - 8am to 12pm
- Monday 24 February - 8am to 12pm
- Wednesday 26 February - 8am to 12pm
- Friday 28 February - 8am to 12pm
- Saturday 29 February - 8am to 12pm
The large bins will be in place at Lake Conjola Community Centre, Lake Conjola Entrance Road.

Council removes green waste fees
Green waste for residents have been waived temporarily.
Shoalhaven City Council waived tipping disposal costs for green waste, effective from last Sunday, 9 February 2020, until the end of March.
In a statement a council spokesperson said it recognised that the clean-up efforts have begun at various locations and was offering free disposal of debris such as trees and branches to assist these efforts.
All green waste, whether it has been generated as a result of the bushfire or not, can be disposed of free of charge at any council facility until the close of business on Tuesday, March 31.
