The proposed Bunnings Warehouse would be located between 189 to 197, Princes Highway, Ulladulla and represents an investment of more than $16 million by the company. The location is to south of McDonalds, Carpet Court and Ulladulla Toyota precinct.
A development application was lodged with Shoalhaven City Council on January 30.
The development will replace the existing smaller format Bunnings store in Ulladulla, with all current team members transferring to the new warehouse once complete. It is also expected to create more than 80 additional jobs.
Features of the new warehouse will include the main warehouse, outdoor nursery, timber trade sales area, café, and a playground, along with click and collect services.
The store would span more than 11,000 square metres and have parking for more than 180 cars.
Bunnings Regional Operations Manager, Robyn Hudson, said the proposed development represents a significant investment in the local community.
"The proposed Bunnings Warehouse in Ulladulla would offer local customers an even wider range of outdoor living and home improvement products, backed by the best service," Ms Hudson said.
"The development will provide additional job opportunities for local residents as well as create approximately 180 additional construction jobs throughout the process."
