After visiting Mogo, Wallaga Lake and Cobargo - as well as an animal sanctuary funded by WIRES at East Lynne, the Australian Boomer continued his journey up the Princes Highway towards the Shoalhaven.
Along the way, Mills and his support crew noticed Martin's Orchard at Jerrawangala, ran by two women, on the side of the road.
"Small business, big impact," Mills tweeted.
"How can I help?" is one of the most common questions people ask me when talking about the Australia fires.
"A simple answer is: shop local.
"The best thing you can do to help these communities is to visit them, stay in local hotels, eat at family-owned restaurants and shop local stores.
"The bushfires have severely affected tourism in smaller cities of Australia."
Staying true to his word, Mills purchased all the remaining nectarines Martin's Orchard had in stock.
"Two lovely women were standing inside a little roadside shed, selling what they had left of the nectarines for the season," he tweeted.
"So we kindly asked if we could purchase everything they had and loaded two tray beds of fresh, tasty nectarines.
"After some very heartfelt hugs, we kept it moving."
With two utes full of nectarines, 'Team Mills' continued north before meeting up with students from Nowra High School.
"As we passed through Nowra, we dropped the nectarines off at a local school that just got out for an afternoon snack," he tweeted.
Mills, who also visited Conjola and Batemans Bay - where he shouted locals' groceries, is expected to fly out from Sydney on Tuesday and return to the United States, ahead of his San Antonio Spurs clash with the Utah Jazz on February 21 - following the NBA's All-Star break.
