The 151st Milton Show will take place on Friday, March 6 and Saturday, March 7 at the Milton Showground on Croobyar Road.
Milton Show Society president Ken Leslie says he is looking forward to the 2020 Milton Show, and is very grateful for the extraordinary effort the committee to put together such a great show.
"Many of them were fighting fires to save their own, and neighbouring properties but still found time to fulfill their show commitments with passion and dedication to be sure that everyone who visits the Milton Show will be amazed at the diversity of where they live," he said.
The theme of this year's show is Capturing Country Life and entries in most categories have been "very strong".
"We have tried to include all aspects of the local community, from showjumping to art and everything in between. There are lots of new attractions along with the old favourites."
Mr Leslie recommends visitors look to the main arena on Saturday, where some exceptional horses and their owners will be put to the test.
"We have had record entries from the South Coast, Canberra and regional NSW in the equestrian events including the dressage. The main arena will be displaying exciting active events all day."
There have been plenty of entries in all categories in the pavilions, although the droughts, bushfires and floods have taken there toll in some areas.
Pavilion Stewards Shirley Coleman and Jim Mison can't stress enough that entries need to be in by today [Wednesday] up to 8pm, and all exhibits must be in place by no later than 9am Friday for the judging at 10am
Parking arrangements have changed. Park and Ride is now at the Pony Club in Matron Porter Drive, near the roundabout. Gates are open from 9am to 5pm with buses to the Showground.
Milton Public School principal Mark Thomson said the school's staff and students were excited to support the upcoming show.
"Milton Show is an event we look forward to every year. Staff and students from Milton Public School have participated in probably every show since show number 1, and we are pleased to continue with this tradition," he said.
"Most students and teachers will be taking part in the Grand Parade, with many students entering various events and exhibitions. We see the Milton Show as an integral part of the Milton and district calendar and as an important traditional community event that we will continue to support into the future."
As a boost for events in bushfire-plagued regions, Commonwealth and State Government funding has been granted to events across NSW. Milton Show Society received $5,000 from the NSW Government's Country Show Sponsorship Packages and $25,000 from the Bushfire Community Resilience and Economic Recovery Fund.
"Milton Show Society Inc. acknowledges the support," Mr Leslie said.
