On the day, the thee stars to take out the top gongs were Batemans Bay's Lachlan Malcolm and Ulladulla United pair Sarah Wheeler and Tara Rudd

Malcolm, fresh off helping his NSW under 15s team finish third at the national championships, took out both the Junior Male Player of the Year and Junior Male Representative Player of the Year awards.

This is largely due to him winning the stage 3A batting, all-rounder and aggregate awards, thanks to scoring 357 runs at 89.25 and taking nine wickets at 12.89 - while also guiding his side to the grand final against the Magpies at the weekend.

While Wheeler and Rudd claimed the Junior Female Player of the Year and Junior Female Representative Player of the Year awards respectively.

In terms of individual stages awards, four different cricketers claimed a trophy in the stage two division.

Bay's Flynn Dunn (242 runs at 121) won the batting prize, as Berry-Shoalhaven Heads' Tyson Walker (15 wickets at 6.20) topped the bowlers.

Ulladulla United's Chayce Brown (189 runs at 31.5 and 10 wickets at 6.5) secured the all-rounder award, with Berry's Tobias Eyland (65.60 points) taking out the aggregate gong.

The stage 3B awards went to Bay and Basin's Ryan Malecki (batting - 184 runs at 64.33), Berry's Campbell Bramley (bowling - 12 wickets at 9.92), Shoalhaven Ex-Servicemens' Jared Galvin (all-rounder - 168 runs at 33.80 and eight wickets at 9.5) and Basin's Kingsley Smith (aggregate - 64.50 points).

The only stage 3A award that Malcolm didn't win went to Berry's Dino Dicembre, who took out the bowling prize with 12 wickets at 10.58.

The four Spirit of Cricket awards went to Batemans Bay Black (stage one), Ex-Servos Green (stage two), Basin Blue (stage 3B) and Ulladulla United (stage 3A).

This season marked the first the SDJCA has implement the stages, not ages system, which has made a positive impact on the sport in the area.

Last season, there were 266 players in the SDJCA, which increased by 83 to 349 this campaign.

Other junior stars on the day to be recognised for their representative exploits were North Nowra-Cambewarra's Emily Zerafa and Berry's Nakita Boatswain (Greater Illawarra Zone under 14s Thunder Cup), Norths' Hyeon Parsons, Ex-Servos' Luke Jones, Malcolm and Berry's Alex Dobson (Bradman Cup), United's Ryan Gilkes, Berry's Tom Fletcher and Berry's Jackson Ingram (Kookaburra Cup) and Wheeler, Rudd and Ex-Servos' Ella Dyball (under 18 women's championships).

Boatswain and Berry's Charlotte Hopperton were in both the under 15 women's championships and Margaret Peden Shield side.

At youth championships level, representatives were Norths' Harrison Wood, Berry's Matthew Page, Ingram, Malecki (all under 13s), Gilkes Galvin, Ex-Servos Matthew Higham, Berry's Max Carr-McCarron, Fletcher and Ex-Servos' Nash Connell (all under 14s), Malcolm, Berry duo Christian Page and Cooper Bramley, United pair Drew and Jay Ramsden, Dobson (all under 15s) and Zerafa (under 14 women's championships).

The SDJCA also recognised the victorious Shoalhaven under 14s and 16s representatives sides, coached by Rob Gilkes and Andrew Malcolm respectively.
