Shoalhaven City Council will close public playgrounds, skateparks and outdoor gyms following further restrictions announced by the Federal Government on Sunday night as it endeavours to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Council asks that residents comply with the closures and avoids these areas to help decrease the spread of COVID-19.
Signage will be put in place at relevant locations over the coming days.
Council will continue to deliver all essential services such as waste and recycling collections, as well as the cleaning of public amenities.
Council's Business Continuity Plans has been enacted and the situation is being monitored daily.
Further restrictions could be implemented in response to advice from the federal and state health authorities.
Council also reinforces Australian Federal Government advice that non-family public gatherings of over two people outdoors are now not permitted.
NSW Government fines will apply to anyone in breach of this order and if you see anyone not doing the right thing, you are encouraged to report the matter to Crime Stoppers on 1300 333 000.
Please provide police with as much information about the contravention as possible, including the date, time, location and any relevant information regarding the infringement.
NSW Police will be enforcing the social distancing rule and checking on self-isolation cases when necessary.
"It is important in times like this that the Shoalhaven comes together as a community and adheres to health advice, to ensure we play our part in slowing the spread of COVID-19," a council statement reads.
Council ask people to adhere to the following guidelines.
Practise good hygiene
Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water, especially before eating, cooking, or feeding others to prevent the spread of germs.
Sneeze into your elbow.
Stay at home if sick.
Observe social distancing requirements
Practice social distancing. Where possible, maintain a distance of 1.5 metres between yourself and another person. Adhere to all directions given by customer service staff
Only leave the house for essential work and travel.
What do I do if I see someone not following the social distancing guidelines or not self-isolating when required?
The following Council facilities closures are now in place:
Waste Depots-Kioloa, Lake Conjola, Bendalong, Sussex Inlet, Callala, Berry and Kangaroo Valley.
Shoalhaven Swim, Sport and Fitness facilities - pools and gyms.
Shoalhaven Libraries - services still available online.
Nowra and Ulladulla Customer Service
The Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre - café open for takeaway only.
Nowra and Ulladulla Visitor Information Centre
The Ulladulla Civic Centre
Shoalhaven Regional Gallery and Arts Centre
Community Buildings
