The NSW Government has commissioned an independent inquiry into the 2019-2020 bushfire season, and submissions will provide valuable input ahead of the upcoming bushfire season. The inquiry is seeking submissions from bushfire affected residents, emergency and support personnel, organisations and the general public of their experiences through-out the event.
Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, the NSW Government is holding online community meetings and has already held one for the Lake Conjola and Fisherman's Paradise community. However, another virtual meeting has been announced that encompasses the whole of the Shoalhaven LGA.
The virtual meeting will be held on Friday 1 May at 5:30 pm and participants will be able to dial in via telephone or join the discussion on their computer or device. The number of participants in each video conference will be capped to ensure everyone gets a chance to share their experience. If demand exceeds capacity, the Inquiry will consider holding additional sessions.
