That might not be until Tuesday now, with Monday set to be an information day for the NRL players on the proposed biosecurity measures as the competition continues to push towards a May 28 restart.
Raiders coach Ricky Stuart and his coaching staff have spent the past few weeks getting ready for a potential return to the training paddock.
ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr had indicated if NRL players are allowed to return to training in NSW then that would also apply in Canberra.
It was hoped that would be Monday, but that's been pushed back a day to allow clubs and players to prepare.
"We're ready. We're just waiting. We've put a plan together over the last two or three weeks and we're just waiting now for the all clear," Stuart said.
"Hopefully that's Monday. If it's not, if it's a day or two later or a week later we'll be ready to go.
"We've got a plan in place in regards to our schedule and content so we're just waiting now for the green light."
Part of that schedule will revolve around players returning to full contact training.
While they've been social distancing like everyone else, they've only been able to do weights and run.
They haven't been able to do ball work together or any of the physical contact they'll need to be ready for round three.
Stuart has been happy with the condition his players have kept themselves in over the past five weeks and felt the maturity of the group had played a role in that.
"There'll be certain measures we take in regards to the contact," he said.
"I'm really happy with how the players have handled themselves with the way they've trained during their breaks.
"Their numbers and weights that they have sent into us is good and there's been a lot of trust from staff to player and player to staff. That's where the squad has grown to.
"From what I can see with the numbers that we keep getting sent into us that maturity and trust has grown within our squad and it's been building over the years.
"But this year has been really evident of the priority the players are putting on their own preparation while they're in isolation, the care they have for one another and they want to get back in good condition to start training for the competition."
Stuart has also been happy with how star second-rower John Bateman has rehabilitated his shoulder post surgery.
He wasn't sure exactly how many more games the England international would miss, but didn't think it would be many more than the opening two rounds he's already sat out.
"A timeline I haven't got, but he's progressing along really well," Stuart said.
"He's very thorough in his rehabilitation, Johnny.
"He's doing a lot of good work, as is a few of the boys in rehab.
"We've had some complications to it and he's seeing to that.
"Hopefully it's not too many games ... but we won't rush him back.
"We'll make sure his injury is 100 per cent before he comes back to play."
