If it's not one of his many brilliant local history books, he's working on one of his other passions - cricket.
And in particular Shoalhaven Cricket history.
He has already written a number of books on the subject including a publication marking the centenary celebrations of the Shoalhaven competition and the jubilee of the Shoalhaven Junior Cricket Association.
Along the way he has also compiled numerous club histories, of the likes of Nowra, Bomaderry, Berry and Ex-Servicemens just to name a few - most produced to coincide with particular significant club anniversaries or milestones.
More recently he has been focusing his attention on some of the former or smaller clubs within the district.
Almost ready for printing is his latest offering A History of Cricket in the Berry District Villages, focusing mainly on Meroo and Far Meadow.
However teams from other areas being covered like Coolangatta, Bolong, Toolijooa, Broughton Village, Broughton Vale, Jaspers Brush, Bundewallah, Bellawongarah, and Shoalhaven Heads.
"There is also a page on the 1894 tour by a team of South Coast Aboriginals," Mr Clark said.
He has also been working on Burrier Cricket Club which folded about 70 years ago.
"It includes profiles of players from significant local families," he said.

"I am aware of only one surviving Burrier cricketer, Sid Grady, who played in the 1940s and he's been most helpful."
The 84 pages will also cover the nearby Bamarang and Yalwal clubs which each participated in the SDCA for one year, although they played for much longer.
"Bamarang has given me the opportunity to use the profile of Alfred Morris, for whom a plaque is erected on the Nowra Showground pavilion and the 100th anniversary of his death was recently marked," he said.
"More recently I'm writing a history of Rugby Union Cricket Club which functioned between 1975-76 and 2007-08.
"Having been association recorder for most of that period, I have prepared 12 pages of statistics.
"That history will also have material on the junior teams, including the years when they played as St Michaels/Rugby."
Contact has already been made with some of the prominent players from the club, but Mr Clark would be pleased to hear from others who think they may have something to contribute - phone 0423-355 976, or email alanwclark@yahoo.com.
Other histories of clubs from bygone days he has already completed include Nowra Perseverance, Currambene, Greenwell Point, Wandandian, Tomerong and Kangaroo Valley.
Work is also being undertaken on the legendary Pyree Cricket Club.
