ACT Southern NSW Rugby Union, run by the ACT Brumbies, has held a number of consultation and training sessions with all clubs, to ensure everyone has a clear understanding of planning and implementation of a return to training and games guidelines.
All participating clubs have been provided clear plans, under the strict COVID-19 requirements, on how their sessions must be administered.
Before training can go ahead, each club must nominate a COVID compliance officer.
Following that, they must record who attends their sessions, have sanitisation stations and designated training areas (for up to 10 players) set up and establish clear entry and exit points to the field.
All players and officials are also encouraged to download the COVID-Safe app.
"Batemans Bay "Boars" Rugby Union, like many other clubs, has been in regular contact with its players and are now ready to hit the ground running when they return to training on Tuesday, June 2," said South Coast Rugby Union president Peter Ryan, who also runs the Batemans Bay Boars.
"I know our Boars will recommence training at Hanging Rock Oval from 6pm next Tuesday and we are expecting a solid roll-up.
"I believe there'll be a number of clubs returning to the field that day.
"Obviously it's been a tough time for everyone but we are just excited to be back playing rugby union."
