Ally recently received a Shoalhaven Schools Excellence in Vocational Education and Training Award in the Business Services section.
Many other Ulladulla High School students took part and excelled in the program and were nominated for awards.
The nominated students were Airlie Melville - School Based Traineeship, Ashley Aldrich - School Based Traineeship, Jason Hughes - School Based Traineeship, Joshua Wallace - Construction, Mackenzie Creech - Business Services, Riley Smith - School Based Traineeship and Thomas Burton-Popple - Entertainment.
Due to the current situation with COVID-19 the 2020 Shoalhaven Schools Excellence in Vocational Education and Training (VET) Awards were scaled back to an online process, unfortunately, there was no award function this year.
The awards showcase the many talented HSC students the region is producing.
To be eligible students are nominated by their school, TAFE, EVET or local employers who have hosted the students on industry work placement.
The students nominated are undertaking Vocational Education and Training courses at all the high schools across the Shoalhaven, TAFE and EVET.
Without the support and enthusiasm of employers, this program would not be the success that it is.
Workplace Learning would like to congratulate its Exceptional Host Employers for 2020 - Bomaderry Bowling Club, Deli on Kinghorne, Simmark, Bunnings Warehouse Nowra, Designer Eco Tiny Homes, Parrish Group and Peckish on the Park.

Workplace Learning hosts the awards, arranges industry work placement for over 800 students annually with over 400 Shoalhaven employers.
"Industry work placement enables employers to provide real, industry-based skills to students as part of the courses they are studying for their HSC," a Workplace Learning spokesperson said.
"In addition to this Workplace Learning is active in creating opportunities for students to commence apprenticeships and traineeships whilst still at school.
"These together with the VET courses provide great scope for young people to obtain industry skills and an industry qualification whilst completing their HSC.
"This represents a great partnership between industry, schools and the students concerned. A win-win for everyone."
Meanwhile, the HMAS Albatross Community Engagement Team were keen to participate in Ulladulla High School's Careers Week despite COVID restrictions.
The team visited the school recently to install a photographic display showcasing the exciting range of career options available in the Royal Australian Navy.
