The group have been running these courses each term since 2003 and the classes have been attended by literally hundreds of community members , many coming back time and time again .
The focus of this terms course will be staying calm in challenging situations.
Participants will learn how to calm racing thoughts and settle surging emotions, ultimately coming to discover and reconnect with ones intrinsically calm nature.
The course also has a strong emphasis on developing ones compassion and wisdom which has a very positive effect on restoring harmony in our interpersonal relationships.
These tried and tested techniques of mindfulness and meditation can be practiced in any situation and are truly one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself .
The course will be facilitated by Ben Adcock who is a long term student of Tibetan Buddhist Master Lama Choedak Rinpoche .
Ben has been practicing meditation for the past 20 yrs and has been teaching at Manjushri Buddhist Centre for the past 15 years as well as in workplaces, schools and clinical settings .
The course will be held at the Milton Centre and current NSW health guidelines are being followed.
Numbers will be limited so we encourage you to book early if you wish to attend .
There will also be the option to attend the course online as we will be streaming the classes each week on zoom .
Scholarships are also being offered for anyone facing financial difficulties.
