The Lions Club of Ulladulla Milton recently staged a changeover lunch at the Dunn Lewis Centre and the event proved to be a great success.

Past president Pam Watt, at the function, presented president for 2020-21 Gwen Rava with the gavel and bell.
The handing out of the various awards was another highlight of the event.
State Member for the South Coast Shelley Hancock and Mayor of Shoalhaven City, Councillor Amanda Findley, were among the guests.
Meanwhile, Ulladulla Milton Lions Club has been heavily involved in assisting people who suffered from the Currowan bushfire.
Earlier in the year, District Governor, Gordon Mathews and PDG Geoff Hobart (the district Disaster Coordinator) became aware of the enormity of damage and its impact on the district's numerous towns and communities.
A fund was established called the "Lions District 201N2 Disaster Fund" and the district formed committees in various locations to aid those affected.
The local Lions Club was appointed for Area Three which was to coordinate the activities of clubs from Nowra to Mogo and to the west as far as Braidwood.

The local Lions Club had learnt that victims usually preferred immediate help, therefore our fund targeted these people.
The fund provided grants up to $1,500 to enable them to purchase Items they may need immediately.
Our area committee decided to give priority to people who had either lost their homes or had them severely damaged .
Toward the latter stages the committee assisted many with damage to their property.
All goods were purchased locally which in turn helped not only those needing assistance but local businesses doing it hard.
The funding to support the grants came from the Australian Lions Foundation and Lions Clubs International.
The Ulladulla Milton Lions Club was required to process 182 applications and recommended approval to 145 applications from our own club. 36 applications were rejected by both club and area committees for various reasons, and recommended approval to the value of $252,000.
