Shoalhaven City Council has partnered with a not-for-profit group that coordinates the distribution of quality donated goods and services by connecting and inspiring an online network of givers.
The GIVIT [Goods For Good Causes] and council partnership ensure those impacted by the recent floods in bushfire impacted areas obtain the essential items and services they need.
Mayor of Shoalhaven City, Councillor Amanda Findley said the community's hearts go out to those who have endured the fires and are now dealing with floodwaters and further damage to their properties.
"Council has been contacted by numerous people who want to help those impacted by the recent flooding. GIVIT is a great way to for those in need to access items and services that have been donated," Cr Findley said.
Donated items such as tarps, tents, bedding, fans, dehumidifiers, and more can be accessed by logging details on the GIVIT website.
To access donated support through GIVIT, you must first connect with a support organisation that is able to assess your needs.
