The event, before becoming another COVID-19 victim, was due to be held on October 10.
The festival has been rescheduled at Milton Showground for March 27, 2021 and all tickets purchased will be valid for the new event date.
The Milton Food and Wine Festival in 2021 will still have performances from talented live musicians, local food and beverage vendors, family activities and more.
"Given this is our inaugural festival we want to make sure we deliver you an incredible event as we had planned," the event orrganisors announced in an online statement.
"However, due to the restrictions that are currently in place, we don't feel this would be the case.
"We would have to structure the event in a way that will not provide our customers with the environment we intended to deliver.
"This has been an extremely tough decision for us to make and we hope we can have a drink with you all in March once we are past these unprecedented times.
"Now more than ever we need your support to ensure live events continue and to make sure we continue to support our local business at the south coast."
