The team from Capital Chemist Ulladulla and many members of the local community gathered yesterday [Thursday, September 10] to support well-known resident Renee Effield.
A fundraising event and shave day were held to raise money to support Renee and her family in their time of need.
Teenager Piper Toghill was the first to put her locks on the line.
The 17-year-old said she was happy to shave her hair to support Renee.
"Renee is a loving, caring and funny person," Piper said.
Piper laughed off her new look and said her head, with its lack of hair, felt a bit "odd".
Many others then followed Piper's lead and lost their locks for a most worthy cause.
Chris Bashford and Abbey Brewster from Bawley Point's Ace Of Shades gave up their time to do the shaving.
Raffles and a cake-stall were held as part of the event.
