After being eliminated from the Waratah League division one youth men's finals race last weekend against Penrith, the Hawks were determined to end their up and down season on a positive.
At the Sutherland Basketball Stadium, the visitors, headlined by Shoalhaven's Gavin Costain and Ziad El Tobgy, jumped out to a 22-13 lead at quarter-time.
The red and whites kept their feet on the throats of their Basketball NSW rivals in the second term, by outscoring them 23-12 - to go into the main break up by 20 points.
The two sides exchanged baskets in the third period - as it was 58-40 at three-quarter-time before the Hawks ran out winners by 18 points.
In the win, Harry Morris top-scored with 23 points, with Zachary Ottosson (20) and Samuel Giles (13) also reaching double-figures.
The Hawks finish the season in sixth position with a 6-5 record.
