Award-winning artist Ben Quilty has donated a work of art to the upcoming Coastal Creative Appeal.
The appeal's aim is to raise money to help people affected by the 2019 to 2020 bushfires and floods.
Susan Curran, along with a band of helpers, is organising the event to be held on Saturday October 3 and Sunday 4 at the Ulladulla Civic Centre.
The award winning artist heard Susan being interviewed about the appeal on the radio and made contact.
He has donated an ink on paperwork title 'Lord Howe', which is signed and dated.
'Lord Howe' will be on display and available to purchase during the appeal.
Quilty has won a series of painting prize including the 2014 Prudential Eye Award, 2011 Archibald Prize and 2009 Doug Moran National Portrait Prize
His work will be just one of many special donations that people can purchase.
Over 150 artists and craftspeople and most of the local creative groups have become involved.
Some of the Creative Coastal Appeal donors are even people who lost their homes and or studios in the fires.
Cobargo's Steve Stafford lost everything when the fires roared through his place, including his timber stash, but was still able to donate a beautiful knife for a craftsperson to use.
The proceeds from Steve's donation will be going to someone who works with wood and so if you know of anyone who is a woodworker whose home was burnt and the event organisors are looking for a suitable person.
