The Rotary Club of Milton-Ulladulla in August made the tough call to cancel the ball in 2020 due to COVID-19 concerns.
However, with the easing of some COVID restriction president of the Rotary Club of Milton-Ulladulla, Leonie Corrin-Smith, said they had now decided to stage a ball on Tuesday, December 8 at the Dunn Lewis Centre.
The format will be slightly different than past festival balls but Mrs Corrin-Smith said she was sure the 28 princesses, their partners, and family members were all looking forward to attending the event.
Mrs Corrin-Smith said there won't be any dancing at the event.
However, the entrants will get to attend a formal function and receive an acknowledgement for being a 2020 Blessing of the Fleet Princess.
Mrs Corrin-Smith added only 300 people would be able to attend the function.
The Rotary president, after what has been a tough year for many people, did not want to deny the princesses an opportunity to attend such an important formal function.
Mrs Corrin-Smith said the club was happy to reverse its original decision on the ball.
She is looking forward to seeing all princesses and their partners grace the Dunn and Lewis Centre.
