The NSW government agreed to lift a tranche of restrictions from Monday December 7, including changing the social distancing recommendation of one person per four square metres to one person per two square metres.
Chairperson of the Ulladulla Blessing of the Fleet Festival committee, Leonie Corrin-Smith, said nothing had changed for the 2021 festival - even with Monday's proposed restrictions lift.
Nobody has been following the NSW Government's COVID-19 guidelines and lifting of restrictions as close as Mrs Corrin-Smith and she know the requirements off-by-heart.
Her desire to stage something special for locals and visitors remains strong.
Mrs Corrin-Smith, who is also president of the Rotary Club of Milton-Ulladulla which runs the festival, stands by her previous announcement when it comes to the festival's future.
A final call on the 2021 festival will be left until long as possible - so watch this space.
However, Mrs Corrin-Smith, hopes there will be some sort of "festivity" on Easter Sunday in 2021.
One event, on a modified form, that will go ahead this year is the Blessing of the Fleet Ball.
The Princess Ball was called off earlier this year, but Mrs Corrin-Smith and her committee took advantage of the previous easing of restrictions and decided they would organise a ball in 2020.
It will be held on Tuesday, December 8 at the Dunn and Lewis Centre, much to the excitement of all the princesses.
