The Flagstaff Group provides a range of services, including commercial laundering and home-delivered meals.
Chief executive Roy Rogers said the sudden availability of more positions for people, with and without disabilities, was a direct result of an increase in visitors to the region as COVID-19 restrictions ease, as well as more residents ordering meals online.
Mr Rogers said there were nine vacancies within Flagstaff's Fine Food division, a similar number in the laundry unit, with the remaining roles coming from the recycling division.
The positions - which include production and delivery assistants and administration support officers - needed to be filled quickly. Applicants are invited to apply directly by phone or online, with experience preferred but not essential.
"As accommodation comes back our laundry is getting really busy," Mr Rogers said.
"And our food division is going gangbusters at the moment.
"Where hotels had been at 70 and 80 per cent occupancy on weekends they are now at 100 per cent. And more people are coming to the region through the week as well.
"People can't go overseas so they are doing the South Coast thing and coming to Wollongong, which is great.
"We are after casuals in the laundry, we are after full time staff and we are after people with disabilities and supported employment."
"We think at Christmas we are going to be slammed. We are encouraging people to send in their resume."
Mr Rogers said high school students could also apply for work over the summer holidays.
"The money is pretty good for them. And they get some great work experience."
"The laundry only stops for Christmas Day and New Year's Day. We run all over the weekend so there is often overtime," he said.
"The accommodation industry is the big market for the laundry service. And we have picked up quite a few new customers on the Southern Highlands, Shoalhaven and the South Coast.
"Our reputation keeps growing and people are starting to come to us because we provide a good quality service. The main thing we are after from applicants is a good attitude that matches our values. We can train the rest of the skills."
Mr Rogers said Flagstaff Fine Foods has many different clients including Meals on Wheels and in home care for the aged care sector.
"We are doing meals for NDIS participants and local people in the community who are going online and ordering meals," he said.
"We deliver them as far as Campbelltown and Sussex Inlet."
