She accepted her crown and sash on Tuesday night at the Dunn and Lewis Centre during what was a modified Blessing of the Fleet Ball due to COVID-19.
Her partner on the night was Callum Elliott.
Indigo Violaris and Charlotte Dedden [above] were respectively named the second and third runners up.
"I am over the moon. It has been a tough year and it was good to come away with a win," was how Maddi summed up her emotions.
She thought her chance to take part in the event had been taken away due to COVID-19.
"I am grateful they managed to put the ball on this year," the 2020 Blessing of the Fleet Princes said.
"I was very sad when I heard the event had been cancelled earlier this year and I was looking forward to wearing my dress.
"I think a lot of the girls felt the same.
"It [the ball] was the one event all us girls were looking forward to."
Maddi was very excited when she heard the event, in modified form, would go ahead in 2020.
The Blessing of the Fleet 2020 Princess is a community-minded person and is involved with several organisations.
The 16-year-old Milton resident loves the Blessing of the Fleet Festival, run by the Rotary Club of Milton-Ulladulla.
"I think I have been involved in the parade for about 10-years now," Maddi said.
"I would like to thank the event sponsors and my partner, Callum, for coming along."
"I am feeling pretty pumped and stoked for Maddi as well," Callum said.
Both Maddi and Callum were feeling nervous and excited when they walked into the Dunn and Lewis Centre.
Another highlight from the night was people hitting the dance floor thanks to the easing of restrictions.
All the entrants would like to thank the Rotary Club of Milton-Ulladulla for staging the event and in particular club president Leonie Corrin - Smith who pushed the get the ball organised.
