Greater Illawarra yesterday [Thursday] played ACT Southern Districts in the final at Neil Bulger Oval.
Shoalhaven District Cricket Association products Naomi Woods and Tara Rudd were key members of the side.
Tara, as the team's captain, also had added responsibilities.
Greater Illawarra won the toss in the final and elected to bat.
The local team, after 20 overs, had 9/74 on the scoreboard and ACT Southern [2/75] won the match by eight wickets.
Maddison Spence led the way for Greater Illawarra with the bat and scored 32 runs with two boundaries.
Tara and Naomi did not have much luck with the bat in the final.
However, they both toiled hard with the ball but it was not going to be their day.
Tara did manage to take a wicket in the final.
The winner of the Greater Illawarra and Western match at Brad Haddin Oval would get a place in the final.
Greater Illawarra totally dominated the match to record a well-deserved 19-run win.
The local side, after winning the toss against Western, decided to bat first and the big-hitters came out to playI.
Greater llawarra made 3/108 from its 20 overs and Western made 5/89.
Tara led the way with the bat for Illawarra with an impressive 30 run effort.
She blasted three boundaries during her eye-catching effort with the bat.
Naomi did not have to bat but as normal took the new ball for the Shoalhaven/Illawarra-based side.
She sent down two tight overs which only cost her team nine runs.
Tara capped off her great effort against Western by taking a wicket.
