5.16PM: A Fire and Rescue NSW vertical rescue team is on standby to help get the man out if an ambulance helicopter is unable to do so.
The ambulance helicopter has left the scen to refuel before it attempts to retrieve the fallen man.
A NSW Fire and Rescue spokesperson confirmed the man is conscious, breathing and speaking with emergency services personnel.
4.42pm: Paramedics have made contact with the fall victim. NSW Ambulance said the victim is a 71-year-old man, and an "expert rock-climber".
It is understood he fell about five metres when he had reached 10 metres above the base of the cliff. The man has back pain, and is understood to be conscious.
Fire and Rescue crews arrived on scene at 4.30pm.
4.10PM: Fire and Rescue NSW has a vertical rescue team from Ulladulla, one other crew and the duty commander on their way to the incident.
"We were alerted of the incident at 3.25pm," a spokeseprson said.
3.30PM: Ambulance crews have rushed to Tianjara Falls lookout after it was reported a person fell five metres this afternoon.
A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said they received a call shortly after 3pm on Monday, February 8.
The caller reported a person had fallen five metres in the vicinity of the Tianjara Falls lookout on Braidwood Road.
Three ambulance crews and a helicopter are on their way to the scene.
