Shoalhaven girls' skills to blast off at upcoming cricket program
THE Shoalhaven District Cricket Association has been given the amazing opportunity to participate in the Woolworths Cricket Blast Program during February and March.
For the first time ever, the SDCA is running an all girls master blasters program and with assistance from Cricket NSW and Cricket Australia, have been able to secure this program at no cost for the participants.
Woolworths Cricket Blast is a fun and fast program for girls of all abilities to learn the skills and play Australia's favourite sport.
This program, aimed at kids aged between eight and 12, will be conducted over four weeks and run for a 60-minute duration each week.
Each session has been designed to simplify delivery, which means more time playing and less time providing instructions.
Buzzing with the energy of Big Bash cricket, the program teaches girls how to bat, bowl, field and catch over four weeks all while making new friends.
All the fun will start at the Nowra Showground on Wednesday, February 24 from 4.30pm.
Each participant will receive a pack that includes a ball, bag, cap and water bottle.
