This is what they have been up to so far this year.
Senior Class Gardening Program
Late last year the school's senior school students planted some seeds.
Upon returning from holidays the students discovered that some of their seeds had not only sprouted but had grown surprisingly quickly.
This week the students worked on identifying the difference between the plants they wanted to keep and the weeds which had also grown quickly over the holidays.
We were hoping to enter a pumpkin or two in the Milton Show this year but roast pumpkin and pumpkin soup may be included in the class cooking program instead.
Dedicated Volunteers
2021 has also seen the return of out dedicated volunteers who come to help each week. It has been great to welcome them back this term.
Whether volunteering a little time or a lot, assisting our students to meet their learning outcomes is very a rewarding experience. We would like to publicly thank all our volunteers for their continued support.
The school community would like to extend a special thank you to Jan Lockyear who has volunteered at Budawang for many many years is now retiring from her volunteer work.
We wish her all the best with whatever adventures life brings to her next.
Thank you, Jan, for all that you did for our students, your care and interest in working with some of our most vulnerable students has impacted the lives of many.
These special memories will last a long time.
