Following community backlash on its "preferred" bypass option Transport NSW, late last year, reopened the submission period and the community responded.
"About 2500 submissions have been made via an online survey, email, by post and over the phone to the proposed Milton Ulladulla bypass," a Transport for NSW spokesperson said.
"All feedback will be considered by Transport for NSW and a community consultation report will be prepared in coming months to address the issues raised during consultation.
"The review of community feedback will be used to inform further investigations, develop the project, and address key issues raised.
"The community and stakeholders will have the opportunity to provide further feedback as the project progresses, including participation in future project information sessions and meetings."
Transport NSW, during the 2020/21 summer holidays collected further traffic data to inform future planning for the Milton Ulladulla bypass and Burrill Lake to Batemans Bay upgrade projects.
This included monitoring traffic volumes, intersection queue lengths, and road use.
Project timeframes have not yet been determined.
The next steps will involve the release of a community consultation report, concept design, environmental assessment and more.
At each stage, the community will be invited to comment - according to Transport NSW.
