The thrilled winner won $100,000, drawn Monday, February 15.
Although the winning entry was registered, the contact details were out of date, which meant officials from The Lott were unable to reach out to the winner and had to wait for them to come forward to claim their prize.
Today, they discovered they were the mystery winner The Lott officials had been searching for.
However, how the winner plans to spend their windfall will forever be a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
The winning ticket was purchased at Ulladulla Lotteries and Souvenirs. Owner Robert Doyle said he was glad the winner had claimed their prize.
"We can only imagine all of the exciting things they plan to do with their prize. We'd love to send them our congratulations. We wish them all the best," he said.
"It's always so exciting when someone wins a large prize We almost feel as though we have won ourselves."
The Lott spokesperson Ally Ramsamy said discovering the life-changing win was sure to put a smile on the mystery winner's face.
"While we may not know how they plan to enjoy their prize, we have no doubt they are walking around today grinning from ear to ear after discovering their win," she said.
"Other winners tell us they use their windfall to help their families, buy a new house, upgrade their home with renovations or splurge a new car."
