What about Milton hospital?
The news that the NSW Government is preparing to spend over $400 million, to upgrade the Shoalhaven Hospital, is welcome. They have also recently announced that they will spend over $700 million on the new Shellharbour hospital.

What many in the local Milton community are wondering is what this all means for our own hospital? The maternity unit has still not been reinstated, many years after this was due to happen. We do not even seem to be able to have a much needed $1 million CT scanner installed, despite solemn promises to do so, made in late 2018 by our current Premier and local State MP.
These are not healthy signs for the long term future of the hospital in this rapidly growing region of the south coast.

Hospital plan unravelling
Already the Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital's $434 million knock down and rebuild project is showing the warning signs it will be one of those projects.
The four warning signs:
1. Lack of executive involvement: Look at the video on the "Shoalhaven Hospital Action Group" Facebook site, embarrassingly NSW health executives bumble very basic questioning by Justin Field during the upper house hearing.
2. Key stakeholders communication issues: The community has not been included.
3. The community has stopped actively taking part in the Initiation stage: The community and health workers refuse to use the multi-storey car-park.
4. The community has shifted their corporate and functional priorities: The community is more interested in locating the hospital to save lives and to be accessible than to see the hospital used to financially support or invigorate Nowra CBD businesses.

Let's not wait another 10 years
I see there is opposition to the proposed Shoalhaven Hospital upgrade, notably from the the so called SHAG opposition group.
In early 2018, I was heli-lifted from the Shoalhaven Hospital, my life was on the line with cardiac issues. I do apologise if the aircraft noise was inconvenient for Mr Hancock and his SHAG colleagues.
The hospital upgrade funding is there, courtesy of this government, and well done to our local reps Shelley and Gareth for securing it.
Anyone who thinks a Labor government would deliver $450 million for a regional hospital upgrade, seriously dream on.
Agreeing with Mr Ward, I also don't want to wait for another 10 years. I don't have that amount of time.
Get out of the way fantasy-land SHAG, you're political posturing isn't helping.

Just more diversion
Has the Prime Minister studied the historical actions of many religious groups that institutionally shuffled their offending priests and pedophiles into different roles to avoid detection, as he shuffles his cabinet like a deck of cards and ministers sidelined?
And could it be his answer to all that conflict over appropriate care of women in parliament, and women generally.? Rather than face the very uncomfortable reality of sexism, sexual abuse, and misogyny in general, it appears his alternative is to ignore it all and attempt to superficially hide compromised ministers by shuffling the cabinet deck. Hopefully this farce ends like the Titanic and slips in the ice to reflect voter disgrace. And there is no wonder why he has attracted nicknames like TeflonMan, Scummo and and and. What does it take to wake Australia's top end the use of heart and mind and recognise the deep need for a higher state of conscious behaviour. Really, PM, talk to your conscience in your daughters and ask them if they are proud of this latest diversion. Bring back Paul.
