Sari Boschiero Community Relations Coordinator at Cancer Council's Southern office said she hopes that the local community will get behind the event.
"We have already raised over $50,000 with a goal of $100,000. Stars of Nowra is a truly unique experience for the Shoalhaven community to get behind their stars who are fundraising for Cancer Council in a fun way while learning something new.," she said.
"The aim is to have Stars from all areas of the community participate, demonstrating how we can all contribute to the cause.
"With a great line-up of Stars on board matched with successful, professional dance teachers from dance schools across Nowra, the gala is going to be a night not to be missed."
Funds raised by Stars of Nowra will contribute to local Cancer Council initiatives such as providing practical and emotional support services for cancer patients, carers and families, such as our Transport To Treatment service and education programs on cancer prevention.
