At last week's Australian Junior Amateur at ACT's Gold Creek Country Club, the Ulladulla High School student started on fire - to lead the tournament after the first two rounds, thanks to rounds of 66 and 69.
But in windy conditions, the 16-year-old struggled to maintain his hot start, by recording a 74 in round three.
He then wrapped up his tournament with a five-over 77, to finish two-under for the competition.
This score saw him finish equal-fourth alongside Toronto's Jake Riley.
Winner Jeffrey Guan, from Bexley, shot eight-under, to edge out Western Australia's Aldrich Potgieter (seven-under) and South Australia's Nicholas Siegmund (five-under) for the title.
The girls' championship was taken out by Melbourne's Jeneath Wong (par).
