SOUTH Coast trio Tyler Wright, Russell Bierke and Pam Burridge have all been recognised at Tuesday's Australian Surfing Awards, held at QT Gold Coast in Surfers Paradise.

Culburra Beach's Tyler Wright, who is still in contention at the 2021 Margaret River Pro, claimed her third Female Surfer of The Year award, after her incredible comeback to the sport.
"It's an honour to receive this award and an incredible privilege to do what I do and be really well supported," Wright, who beat out finalists Molly Picklum and Macy Callaghan for the award, said.
Not to be outdone was Ulladulla's Russell Bierke, who claimed his third straight Heavy Water Award, by edging out Laura Enever and Chris Lougher.
The third South Coast talent to win a category on Tuesday was Mollymook's Pam Burridge, whose team, headlined by Chris Nelius, won the Surf Culture Award for their film Girls Can't Surf.
The other South Coast product in the running for an award on the night, which saw Mick Fanning become the 43rd inductee in the Surfing Australia Hall of Fame, was Ulladulla's Andrew Kaineder, whose film First Name in the Water | Russ Bierke | 90 finished third in the Surf Video of the Year category - taken out by Spencer Frost's A Corner of the Earth.
Other winners on the evening included Jack Robinson (Male Surfer of the Year), Sierra Kerr (Rising Star Award - Female), Jarvis Earle (Rising Star Award - Male), Mike Durante, Ron Clarke and Jenna Clarke's Surf February (ASB Greater Good Award), Martin Tullemans (Peter Troy Lifetime Award), Adam Robertson (Coach of the Year), URBN Surf Melbourne (ACCIONA Innovation Award), North Shelly Boardriders (Simon Anderson Club Award), Naru Indigenous Corporation (Indigenous Surfing Community Celebration Award) and Stu Gibson (Surf Photo of the Year).
