The Illawarra Shoalhaven Health District has again praised the community's efforts.

Twelve local COVID-19 cases have been identified in the Shoalhaven since Tuesday.

Two cases were reported on Friday, another two on Saturday, before eight on Monday.

Although NSW Health reported 14 cases in the Illawarra Shoalhaven on Tuesday, pleasingly none were reported in the Shoalhaven.

In a social media post, South Coast MP Shelley Hancock said of the eight cases announced on Monday, "seven are linked to known cases, while one is still under investigation but has a link to Sydney."

She again called for "everyone to get tested if they have any symptoms and please get vaccinated" and has "urgently" called on Health Minister Brad Hazzard to open a mass vaccination hub in Nowra.

The ISLHD established three extra test sites in the Shoalhaven at Bomaderry, Huskisson and Sussex Inlet in response to the local cases, providing more local test locations.

The health district has also released individual testing numbers for those new test sites from the weekend.

At the Shoalhaven District Hospital, from Friday to Monday 735 tests were undertaken.

At Bomaderry from Saturday to Monday 650 tests.

At Huskisson from Saturday to Monday 365 tests.

At Sussex Inlet on Sunday and Monday 177 tests.

Over all the Shoalhaven clinics between Friday and Monday 4305 tests were undertaken.

Anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms such as fever, sore throat, cough or shortness of breath, is urged to immediately get tested.

Even people with mild symptoms, such as fatigue, new muscle aches or pains, a change in taste or smell or a new runny nose, should arrange testing as quickly as possible.
