Shoalhaven Family Medical Centres practice principal Annette Pham said these numbers show the community's commitment to keeping one another safe.
"The community has done a great job to come out and get vaccinated week after week," she said.
Hitting over 23,000 vaccinations across their four practices, Ms Pham said the momentum of people coming forward for the jab is still high.
However, she added the job isn't done yet.
"We have another 1,200 doses to administer again this coming weekend," she said.
"We haven't seen a drop off of people coming forward at all. But we still quite a distance to go before we hit the fully vaccinated 80 per cent mark.
"Hopefully by Christmas, we'll reach that 80 per cent and have a lot more freedoms available to us. But remember, we still have a young younger population to vaccinate also."
Shoalhaven Mayor Amanda Findley has praised the community for their efforts and said high vaccination rates would allow the LGA to re-open.
"If we can keep the trajectory that we're on, we should have a great deal of resistance in community when the premier decides to open up," said Cr Findley.
"If you're in a position to get vaccinated, please do get vaccinated. Our businesses need to get back to work and we can't stay in hibernation for much longer."
Kiama, Shellharbour and Wollongong have also surpassed the halfway mark.
In Kiama, 60.8 per cent of the eligible population are fully vaccinated and 85 per cent have received a first dose.
In Shellharbour, 50.1 per cent are fully vaccinated and 79.3 per cent have received a first dose.
In Wollongong, 50.7 per cent are fully vaccinated and 76.4 per cent have received a first dose.
Kiama MP Gareth Ward has praised locals who have come forward for the vaccine.
"These figures are absolutely incredible and I cannot thank our local community enough for the effort they are making, turning out and getting their COVID-19 vaccines," Mr Ward said.
"Thank you to everyone who has rolled up their sleeves and also to all our local allied health and medical professionals who are working hard to put these vaccines into arms right across the region."
