Organisers for the event said every person on the St Cecilia Committee was "working very hard to ensure (the scholarship) is held this year" after it was cancelled in 2020.
"We were very disappointed the scholarships had to be cancelled last year due to COVID," president of the St Cecilia Committee Chris Heazlewood said.
To try to facilitate the scholarships in 2021, all auditions will be moved online for potential participants.
"Entrants, once they have made application, will be invited to submit their audition performance electronically using YouTube, and the recordings will be assessed by our adjudicator," Mr Heazlewood said.
"We still plan to have the 12 finalists perform at the annual concert at St Bernards Church, Batehaven, on November 22, COVID permitting."
A St Cecilia spokesperson said classical and contemporary musicians between the ages of 8 and 18 were encouraged to enter.
"The total value of the awards is $5700 which makes it one of the most valuable music awards for young people in Australia," they said.
"The closing date for applications is Friday, October 22, and guidelines on how to upload recordings will be given to applicants."
Application forms for the scholarship are available at www.stcecilia.org.au. For more information, call Chris Heazlewood on 0417 532 358.
