The well-known Ulladulla High School teacher's trek is on Saturday, November 6 [or Movember 6] and is in support of the Movember Foundation.
"I personally think every suicide is one too many," Ice said to explain why he organising the walk.
"We lose too many men unnecessarily and we need to discuss options for support with each other."
The walk's length has great significance.
"There are on average 60 suicides every hour worldwide, so the Movember Movement came up with a 60km challenge," Ice said.
"You can do 60km in parts but we thought it would be nice to make a day out of it."
Ice will be joined by a group of local residents on the walk.
While stressing one death is one too many, Ice added there was some good news.
He said suicide rates had dropped this year compared to last year.
However, Ice and many others want to see the rates decline further.
The saying "it's okay not to be okay" is something he wants others to follow.
"I think awareness of the issue [mental health] is a way people in the community can help," he said.
"There always seems to be a bit of a stigma around male mental health and we just have to repeat the statement that 'it's okay not to be okay'.
"Start a convo with people around you. Ask how other people are or how they always seem to be fine.
"We can learn from each other and also learn from each other's mistakes."
People can join Ice on this most important walk.
"Everyone is welcome to join me, even for a part of the walk or the whole walk," he said.
"We will try to knock it down in 12 hours, so we have to keep walking and there is not much time to wait.
"However, you can always do a part but make sure you can be picked up somewhere."
The walk will be from Milton to Pretty Beach and the walkers will go on some sidetracks.
If you can't walk - why not make a donation?
These walks are not new to Ice.
"This will be the walk's third year and we walk another route every year," he said.
"Before the walk, we used to organise another charity sports event.
"In total, this will be the eighth event with roughly the same core crew and heaps of people who tag along for a few kilometres."
