What's going on? Does anybody know?
Nowra CBD should be a destination in its own right, but "Rat Run" traffic's allowed to congest our streets, and the council offer no plan to manage traffic flow.

From Helensburgh to the Victorian border, Nowra CBD will be the only town with no vehicular bypass.
The western bypass was our best opportunity for our dead-end railway to extend south, preferably high speed to Canberra with a spur line to a Jervis Bay port, marina.
Repeatedly our elected representatives refuse to listen to what business people require and persist with 30-year-old outdated plans the community cannot afford.
One is to build a multi-storied car park in the CBD and introduce charged parking, while other competing areas remain free.
You would hope the council might learn from that "white elephant" multi-storied car park at the hospital.
Nowra's CBD council rates are higher than competing areas.
Council has no manager for its many retail locations, unlike private shopping centres with specialist management teams.
The NSW Government gave a vote of no confidence and located the NSW Services office in South Nowra, now Centrelink and Medicare offices are to move because the CBD is short of convenient parking.
NSW Government is resuming our 172-year-old riverfront park, Shoalhaven Community Preschool, is to go; they have closed Scenic Drive, and our limited access to the riverfront is dwindling.
Surely, a light will finally appear, signifying the end of this tunnel.

Candidate approach praised
Compliments to Paul ELL (Gilmore Liberal members will elect 'own' candidate October 6).

Cheap shot
I've been impressed with the 2ST sessions with Member for Kiama Gareth Ward MP covering what can and cannot be done throughout lockdown.
Just when I was warming to Gareth he went and spoiled it all by bagging out Canberra by stating that "...the best thing about Canberra is the road out!"
Now I understand that bagging out Canberra and Canberrans is a great pass time for the rest of Australia, it is a cheap shot and an unprofessional one.
Canberra is beautiful and a great place to raise a family as well as living as a single person or retired.
As we are coming out of lockdowns from the pandemic may I remind the MP that the ACT's COVID strategy and outcome has been one of the best in Australia, much better than us here in NSW which has been a shambles thanks to his state government's mismanagement.
Let's support each other and welcome Canberrans back here as well as visiting there as well.
Canberran businesses need our support too, not our cheap pointscoring criticisms.'
