The club was recently awarded a $3000 St.George Footy Grant to support the development of its young women's teams
The club was in need of support after being affected by the financial impacts of COVID-19 and the recent bushfire season.
They are trying to grow their small club in partnership with Girls Tackle and provide the players with uniforms to help develop a sense of club identity.
The St.George Footy Grant will assist with funding team uniforms for the young players whose families have been under financial pressures from the pandemic and bushfires and facility equipment to help the club and its members continue to operate within the local community.
St George Illawarra Dragons Women's captain, Kezi Apps said it was important to support clubs like the junior Bulldogs.
"Supporting grassroots footy is incredibly important and we are honoured to be able to provide funding to local clubs," she said.
"We know it's been a tough year for many and we hope these grants will go a long way in getting people onto the field and playing the sport they love."
Teaming up with football partners across four codes, including the St.George Illawarra Dragons, St.George awarded it's biggest commitment yet of $250,000 through this year's Footy Grants program.
Over $121,000 went to 55 local NSW footy clubs and community members, which included the Bulldogs.
General Manager for St.George Bank, Ross Miller said the importance of community connection through local sport has never been more evident than in its absence during the pandemic.
"Local sport brings our communities together - giving Australians the opportunity to gain new skills, help them realise their talents, as well as provide the opportunity to meet new friends and make social connections," he said.
"We hope these grants will continue to encourage participation in sport and it is so important to support the clubs that enable this to happen."
