It is in need of massive maintenance and was badly damaged in the Currowan bushfire and then several storm fronts did more damage to the road.
You can see why a local resident who has been lobbying for something to be done to fix the road, over a year ago, said driving on the road was like playing Russian roulette.
"Every time you come down here, you are avoiding oncoming traffic and it's really only a one-lane road," a resident said in regards to the state of the road when he called for it to be fixed.
However residents will have to wait a little longer to see the road finally fixed.
Shoalhaven City Council is aware of the situation.
"The western end of Wheelbarrow Road which experienced a landslip continues to have one lane closed using temporary traffic signals,' a council spokesperson said.
"Works funded through Transport for NSW Natural Disaster assistance fund are expected to be completed before the end of June 2022, weather permitting."
The cracks in the road, over a year ago, were massive and now after several major rain events, sections of the road are being eaten way underneath the cracking.
