The case is in 2539 postcode and is linked to a known case, confirmed by the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District on Monday, December 20.
The ISLHD recorded a total of 24 new cases with the majority in the Wollongong local government area.
As at 8pm last night, there were six patients in hospital in the ISLHD as a result of COVID-19 (this total may include patients who are no longer COVID-19 positive).
The ISLHD reminded the community that "it remains vital that anyone who has any symptoms or is a close or casual contact of a person with COVID-19, isolates and is tested immediately".

Meanwhile, the state recorded 2501 new COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8pm on Sunday, NSW Health says, taking the total number of active cases in the state to 16,225.
The figure is a slight drop from the previous 24-hour period, when there were 2566 new cases.
