This year's launch was to be held at the Cambewarra Estate Winery in Bangalee, with a special evening, 'Divertimento'...(an 'entertainment' in Italian).
City of Shoalhaven Eisteddfod Inc secretary Susanne O'Neill said it was " with a heavy heart" the committee decided to cancel the 'Divertimento'.
"The continued uncertainty of COVID-19 infection and the spread of it in the Shoalhaven has necessitated that we cancel the Divertimento until a less uncertain time, hopefully in the next few months," she said.

"Like so many, the eisteddfod committee members hoped for a better year in 2022, particularly for the performing arts.
"But with the continuing high COVID infection rates, cancellation of the Divertimento seemed necessary, to ensure the safety of our supporters."
It is hoped to possibly run an event in March or April.
Meanwhile, plans are continuing for the 2022 City of Shoalhaven Eisteddfod, to run between May 12 - June 1, with the final Showcase Concert scheduled for June 25 at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre.
Registration for the City of Shoalhaven Eisteddfod competition is now open online at https://www.shoalhaveneisteddfod.org.au/ - so get your entries in early (closing date for entries is March 1).
