The event organisers, after the success of last year's tennis tournament, would like to keep the event up as an ongoing tradition to celebrate Jayden's life, who unfortunately lost his battle with the Black Dog on November 20 2020.
Jayden was an inspiration for many people experiencing mental ill-health.
The Jayden Chittick Open organisers hope they can continue to use his legacy and this platform to increase awareness and aid in providing life-saving resources to those who need it.
Go here to make a donation and the event organisers hope to make $25 000 for the Black Dog Institute.
The Black Dog Institute continues to assist in the prevention and management of people affected by mental illness through the rapid translation of high-quality research into improved clinical treatments, increased access to mental health services and delivery of long-term public health solutions.
The open tennis tournament, meanwhile, will again consist of a 32-team mixed doubles competition commencing from 10am onwards on Saturday January 29 at Milton Tennis Courts, playing in a win or be eliminated format.
Event organisers are forever thankful to the Milton Ulladulla Districts Tennis Association Incorporated and many other local businesses and individuals who have sponsored and/or assisted in making the day run.
