THE NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS), during the school holidays, urges visitors to plan their trip and take care as recent wet weather has impacted popular sites.

NPWS Director Kane Weeks said sustained wet weather across the south coast has forced the temporary closure of areas and tracks within Meroo, Murramarang, Deua, Mimosa Rocks, Eurobodalla, Gulaga and Bournda National Parks.
"We know Easter is generally a very busy time and we have been preparing to welcome visitors, but people must check NPWS Alerts before they leave home," Mr Weeks said.
Locally the NPWS has safety alerts, 4WD only with height clearance, warning advice on several local roads.
The following areas are only accessible by 4WD with height clearance due to storm damage and flooding:
- Pigeon House Mountain/Didthul access road
- Beach camp access road
- Redgum campground access road
- Granite Falls
- Mount Bushwalker
- Pointer Gap lookout
People should also be careful on the NPWS roads and drive to the conditions.
"Most tracks within national parks are unsealed and the surface may become slippery and washed out in sections," Mr Weeks said.

"Some walking tracks are currently closed and may require some maintenance before we can reopen them.
"Creeks and rivers are expected to increase in level and may have strong currents. Water crossings during these conditions may be extremely dangerous.
"National parks are by their very nature, wild and remote places. We want people to enjoy themselves while also respecting the unpredictability of weather and changing conditions."
