It's not the first time the champ has used her position to take a stand on issues that matter to her.
In 2020 she took a knee in solidarity with Black Lives Matter during the WSL's Tweed Coast Pro.
For the Great Barrier Reef - which constitutes 85 per cent of Australia's coral reefs - about a quarter of hard coral cover was lost between 1994 and 2019.
The Coral Nurture Program is a world-first partnership between Scientists and Tour Operators to boost coral abundance at economically and ecologically high value Great Barrier Reef locations.
"Having the chance to be educated on the work of the Coral Nurture Program is a great opportunity as I get to further understand why reef regeneration is hugely important to the long-term sustainability of our treasured reef and ocean health," Ms Wright said.
Australian distillery Reeftip have announced they will donate 10 per cent of profits to the program, and have announced Ms Wright as their brand ambassador.
"Tyler will share the brand's mission and educate Australians on Coral Nurture Program's vitally important work to protect Australia's beloved Great Barrier Reef," a spokesperson for the comapny said.
Ms Wright said she saw the partnership as an extension of her efforts to be an environmentally conscious consumer.
"It's great to be connected to a brand that gives back to one of the greatest wonders of the world," she said.
The announcement of the partnership came shortly after her long-awaited Bells Beach win.
Mr Wright said it was one of the most difficult - and rewarding - achievements of her career.
"It's been a long journey, it's been hard," she said.
"There's been so many times I wanted to give up on getting back to this sort of form.
"It's taken all of me. It's unbelievable.
"It's the only event I've ever really wanted to win. Here I am. I'm pretty over the moon."
