Shortly after 7pm a call was made altering authorities to a raging fire in the bush near Potholes, south of Dolphin Point.
NSW Rural Fire crews from Bawley Point, Lake Conjola, Lake Tabourie, Kioloa and Milton arrived to find the bush well alight.
“The crews were on the scene for several hours to contain the fire,” a Shoalhaven NSW Rural Fire Services spokesperson said.
“At this point we believe it to be suspicious and investigations are continuing.
“The crews were lucky there were only light winds and they were able to leave the scene around 10pm.”
The fire burnt-out one to two hectares of bushland.
